A sponsorship of 3 million taka has been secured for the selection of the third division cricket.
After a seven-year hiatus, the qualifying competition for the Third Division Cricket League will commence on March 10. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has secured sponsorship for this lowest tier of cricket. In contrast, the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League,
known for its vibrant domestic cricket scene, has occasionally faced a lack of sponsorship. Since the board, led by Faruk Ahmed, took charge, the Dhaka League has attracted sponsors at all levels, with the latest addition being the qualifying round for the Third Division.

Citizens Bank has stepped in as the sponsor, contributing 3 million taka to the league. The last occurrence of this league was in 2017. Although the competition is returning after a lengthy break, new conditions have been introduced. An entry fee of 100,000 taka has been established for participation,
a significant reduction from the 500,000 taka fee set in 2017, which had deterred interested teams.
