After a year and a half, Neymar shared his thoughts upon returning to the national team.

 

Neymar's return to the national team was anticipated. This month, the five-time world champions Brazil will face their long-standing rivals Argentina in a World Cup qualifying match. Prior to that, 

the Seleção will play another match against Colombia. Coach Dorival Junior has announced a 23-member squad for the upcoming two matches, including Neymar.

After nearly 17 months, Neymar has rejoined the national team. His last appearance for the country was in October 2023. He sustained an ACL injury while playing against Uruguay during the World Cup qualifiers, which sidelined him until the following October.

He made his comeback in October 2024, playing for Saudi club Al-Hilal in the AFC Champions League against Al-Ain after a long absence. However, he faced further injury issues, which led to his subsequent exclusion from the squad.
