Four people have died in a head-on collision between a bus and an auto-rickshaw in Pabna.

 

A tragic collision between a passenger bus and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Ishwardi, Pabna, has resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including a child. Additionally, two others have sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to the Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.

The accident occurred on Thursday, March 20, at approximately 5:30 PM, along the Ishwardi-Pabna highway in the areas of Baharpur and Bhabanipur.

The officer-in-charge of Ishwardi Police Station, Shahidul Islam, has confirmed the incident. He reported that a passenger bus named Volka was traveling from Pabna to Ishwardi when it collided head-on with a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw that was approaching from the opposite direction. This tragic accident resulted in the immediate deaths of four individuals, including a child. Additionally, two others sustained serious injuries and have been transported to the Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex for treatment.

In a separate incident occurring simultaneously in the Bhabanipur area of Ishwardi Upazila, a truck helper was killed after being run over by a truck. The police have stated that the offending truck has been seized.
