Iran, China, and Russia are commencing naval exercises in the Indian Ocean.

 

Iran, China, and Russia are set to commence a joint naval exercise in the northern Indian Ocean. The primary objective of this exercise is to enhance security in the region and improve trilateral naval cooperation.

This naval drill, named "Security Belt 2025," is scheduled to begin on Monday. The information was reported by the media office of Iran's military exercises on Sunday.

According to the report, observers from Azerbaijan, South Africa, Oman, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Qatar, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and Sri Lanka will be present to monitor the exercise.

Participants in this drill will include members of the Iranian Navy and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) naval forces, along with vessels from the navies of Russia and China. This marks the seventh iteration of the "Security Belt" exercise involving Iran, Russia, and China. 

On Sunday, China's state news agency Xinhua reported from Beijing.
