Israeli airstrikes in Gaza during the early morning have resulted in 17 fatalities.

Meanwhile, local authorities in the city of Rafah said that thousands of people were trapped after Israeli forces entered the Tell al-Sultan area. They are living in the rubble without food, water and medicine.

The Palestinian Civil Defense said that 50,000 people were trapped in Rafah.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that at least 124,000 people have been displaced by the recent attacks on Gaza.
