Managing Ukraine is becoming more challenging than dealing with Russia, according to Trump.
United States President Donald Trump has expressed that he finds managing Ukraine to be increasingly challenging compared to dealing with Russia in the context of advancing the peace process between the two nations.
During a press conference at the Oval Office in Washington on Friday, Trump stated that his country is maintaining good communication with Russia. He suggested that handling Moscow may be relatively easier than managing the situation in Kyiv.
Just hours prior, Trump issued a warning indicating his intention to impose extensive sanctions on Russia's banking sector. He also expressed a desire to impose tariffs on products from the country. These sanctions will remain in place until a peace agreement is reached with Kyiv regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
On the other hand, Trump has halted all forms of military assistance to Ukraine. The United States has also provided some satellite imagery related to Ukraine's access.
