Smoking is prohibited for everyone, regardless of gender, in open spaces, according to the Home Advisor.

 



The Advisor to the Interim Government on Home Affairs, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, stated, "Smoking in open spaces is prohibited for both men and women. This is an offense that must be adhered to by all. Particularly during the month of Ramadan, individuals should refrain from smoking in public out of respect for those who are fasting." He made these remarks in response to a question from journalists following his visit to the Public Order Management Police Lines in Mirpur 14 on Sunday afternoon, March 2. Regarding the incident involving two women in Moha adpur related to smoking, the Home Advisor remarked, 

"As far as I know, those two women were smoking cigarettes in public. At that time, some local individuals, on their way to prayer, confronted them and threw tea at them. It is essential for everyone to remember that smoking in open spaces is prohibited for both men and women." 

He further emphasized, "During the month of Ramadan, everyone should..."
