The immediate concerns have been alleviated, and therefore, Tamim will be brought to Dhaka.

 

The fear has passed for now. Tamim Iqbal had a major heart attack. After a long effort, his condition has improved. The former Bangladesh captain has been diagnosed with a heart block, a ring has been inserted. However, the good news is that Tamim is talking. He is even walking for a while today.

Tamim suddenly fell ill during a DPL match on Monday. His condition was so bad that it was not possible to bring him to Dhaka. The star batter is undergoing treatment at KPJ Hospital in Savar, next to BKSP. It is learned that he will be brought to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka by air ambulance today.

Moniruzzaman Maruf, the doctor in charge of the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) of KPJ Specialized Hospital and Nursing College, said, "Tamim is fine now. He is walking a little, he is smiling. He was kept in the cabin for a short while. He was taken to the CCU again after meeting his family.’

However, he is still under observation for 48 hours. Tamim will undergo some tests this afternoon. If everything is fine, he will be brought to Dhaka. Earlier, special prayers were recited before the start of the three Dhaka Premier League matches for Tamim’s recovery.

Tamim was feeling unwell yesterday morning. He took gastric medicine during the match against Shinepukur in the DPL. Later he went to the hospital. After that, he felt unwell again. Later it was learned that he had suffered a massive heart attack. A ring was inserted in his heart. The doctor said that Tamim is not out of danger yet. However, his condition has improved considerably.
