Trump informed the NATO Secretary-General about the necessity of 'seizing' Greenland.

 

U.S. President Donald Trump has informed NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte that American control over Greenland is essential for enhancing international security. He also indicated that efforts to integrate the strategically significant Arctic island have been intensified.

During a discussion in the Oval Office, Trump conveyed to Rutte, "You know, Mark, this is necessary for our international security, not just for that reason—many of our valued players are operating along the coast, and we need to be more vigilant."

When asked about the possibility of "seizing" Greenland, Trump responded, "I believe it will happen."

Since taking office on January 20, President Trump has been vocal about the prospect of acquiring Greenland.
