Trump is significantly more prepared for a second term, according to Modi.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that U.S. President Donald Trump is "much more prepared" with a clear roadmap for his second term. Modi made this remark during a podcast interview a few weeks prior to the mutual imposition of tariffs, as planned by Washington.
According to a report by the British news agency Reuters, India is among the trade partners facing tariffs starting in April, which could pose significant challenges for exporters across various sectors, from automobiles to agriculture.
Following a meeting between Modi and Trump last month, the two nations agreed to resolve tariff disputes and work on the initial phase of a deal by the fall of 2025. The objective of this agreement is to achieve $500 billion in bilateral trade by the year 2030.
