Ukraine has agreed to a ceasefire lasting 30 days.
Saudi Arabian state media has reported that following discussions in Jeddah with the United States, Kyiv has agreed to a proposed 30-day ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The Saudi news outlet Al-Akhbariya stated in a message on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday night that "the diplomatic efforts of Saudi Arabia have led to success in the U.S.-Ukrainian talks held in Jeddah."
On Wednesday, the Turkish news agency Anadolu published a report confirming this information.
The report indicated that "after nine hours of U.S.-Ukrainian discussions, Ukraine has consented to a temporary ceasefire for 30 days. This period may be extended, and there are also plans for a prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine."
Although the involved parties have not yet made any formal comments regarding the discussions, it is anticipated that further details will emerge.
