We have complete confidence in the army: Hasanat Abdullah.

 

Leader of the National Citizen Party (NCP), Hasnat Abdullah, stated that their stance is not against the military; rather, they have full confidence and support for them. He expressed respect and admiration, hoping that the military will reciprocate this trust.

Hasnat made these remarks during a rally held in front of the National Museum in Shahbagh on Saturday, where demands were raised for the prosecution of the Awami League for genocide, the cancellation of their registration, and the prohibition of their political and organizational activities.

During this time, Hasnat, a prominent figure in the July mass uprising, remarked, "There is no precedent anywhere in the world where those who flee through a mass uprising are given another chance to participate in elections. 

We do not seek to ban the Awami League through an executive order. Our demand for the prohibition of the Awami League is based on the need for justice for the genocide, enforced disappearances, and crimes they have committed." 

Hasnat further stated, "We do not want any form of the Awami League to continue."
