An Iranian delegation is set to engage in discussions in Italy with representatives from the United States.
A delegation from Iran has arrived in Rome for the second round of discussions regarding nuclear issues with the United States, led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The talks will take place with the mediation of Oman, involving U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Wittekoff, and the Iranian Foreign Minister.
Previously, the first round of meetings occurred in Muscat, the capital of Oman. The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that this meeting was conducted in a "constructive atmosphere and based on mutual respect."
Following the meeting, which was attended by the Omani Foreign Minister, both Steve Wittekoff and Abbas Araghchi delivered brief statements.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a warning that if Iran fails to reach an agreement with the United States, airstrikes targeting Tehran's nuclear program will be carried out.
