Ronaldo's Al Nassr has fallen further behind in the title race.
Cristiano Ronaldo's club Al Nasr lost in the Saudi Premier League on Friday night. They fell further behind in the title race after losing 2-1 at Al Qadsia.
With this loss, Ronaldo's club remained in third place in the Saudi Pro League. However, as fiercely as they had been fighting with the two leading teams, they have fallen behind. After 28 matches, Al Nasr is in third place with 57 points. Al Hilal is second with 61 points and Al Ittihad is in the lead with 65 points.
Coach Stefani Pioli fielded a full-strength Al Nasr in the match. But Ronaldo, John Duran, Otavio, Marcelo Bozovic could not score. Even though Sadio Mane scored a goal towards the end, it was not enough to avoid defeat.
Turkish Al Ammar gave the host Al Qadsia the lead by scoring the first goal in the 35th minute of the match. The match seemed to end with a score of 1-0. But in the 84th minute, former Liverpool star Sadio Mane brought Al Nasr back to the equalizer.
But in the 87th minute, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang shook Al Nasr again. In the end, this goal became the winner-loser.
