The instructor of Daffodil has apologized after issuing a threat of double absence.
Tahmina Rahman, a lecturer at Daffodil International University (DIU), has expressed regret and apologized for threatening to mark students with double absences for participating in the "Global Strike for Gaza" initiative.
In a post made on her Facebook account late Monday night, she conveyed her remorse and sought forgiveness.
In her post, Tahmina Rahman stated, "I wish to address a recent incident that occurred on April 7, 2025, related to the Global Strike for Gaza. First and foremost, I sincerely apologize for the deep pain and confusion caused by any misunderstanding of my words. May Allah forgive me."
She further added, "I have never supported the heinous massacre perpetrated by the despicable Israeli forces against the oppressed Muslims of Palestine and Gaza, nor do I support it now, and I never will. The screenshots that have circulated online..."
