An unprecedented Russian attack in Ukraine, as stated by the Kremlin.
Moscow has spoken out about the unprecedented attacks that the Russian military has recently carried out across Ukraine, including the capital Kiev. The attacks are a response to attacks by Ukrainian forces on Russian civilian infrastructure and social facilities, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
“We see that the Ukrainians are targeting our social infrastructure and civilian facilities. Our attacks are retaliatory and they are targeting only Ukrainian military facilities,” Peskov said at a press conference on Monday.
Earlier on Sunday, Russia carried out precision missile and drone strikes on military targets in Ukrainian territory. Kiev has described the attack as unprecedented.
However, the Russian Defense Ministry claims that it is a response to Ukrainian drone attacks. According to them, the targets of these attacks were Ukrainian missile and drone manufacturing factories, electronic intelligence centers and satellite communications centers.
The ministry claimed that the targets were successfully hit.
Peskov alleged that the Western world has been ignoring the attacks in Ukraine and condemning Russia's retaliatory attacks.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has also expressed dissatisfaction with the Russian attacks and said that he is considering new sanctions on Russia. Source: TASS
