Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah Humaid, the senior imam of the Grand Mosque, will deliver a sermon to the Muslim Ummah participating in the Hajj pilgrimage at the Arafat plain this year. He will deliver the Hajj sermon at the Arafat plain on the 9th of Zilhaj.

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz has authorized him in a royal decree to deliver a sermon on the great day of Arafat. The two mosque-based website Inside the Haramain reported this information on Sunday.

Sheikh Saleh bin Hamid is a member of the Council of Senior Scholars of Saudi Arabia and a former imam of the Grand Mosque. On 9th Zilhajj, Saudi local time, Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid will deliver a sermon to the pilgrims at the Arafat plain. It is at this Arafat plain that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) delivered his farewell sermon.

The Day of Arafah 2025 is expected to be held on Thursday, June 5. According to the Umm al-Qura Hijri calendar of Saudi Arabia, this day will be 9th Zilhajj of 1446 AH. And this is the day when the main activities of Hajj are held.
